The SOK Group Cuts Costs

The year 2004 has been witnessing continued efforts of the SOK Group members to cut their automotive production costs.

With this end in view, they introduced a package of measures to reduce process-oriented material and component consumption rate, increase the output rate, secure suppliers’ participation in optimizing prices, reduce material waste and debugging costs.

Moreover, Group members have been expanding into the federal wholesale power generation and capacity market, which also contributed to improved liquidity.

The economic effect of the measures introduced was 271 mln roubles in this year.

The economic effect for the same period of 2003 was 197.2 mln roubles.
